"I consider myself privileged to have spent a great deal of my life out in remote wilderness.

From my time as a kid, spent catching snakes and lizards and photographing birds and flowers with my folks in outback Australia and Canada, to 5 month long adventure expeditions in kayaks from port douglas along the total length of the southern coast of Papua New guinea, my love for remote location photography and the communities that I spend time with, has continued to grow.

In my adult life, I have been a bit of an adventurer but always the photographer, dragging equipment with me no matter the undertaking or expedition. I have crossed oceans in Kayaks, sailed yachts between countries, spent years exploring remote australia, camping for months at a time in the out back and living for years in remote regions of Papua New Guinea. Always with my cameras, immersing myself in, and photographing the culture and environment that surrounded me.

My continued passion for photography has never waned and over the past 15 years I have been a practising photographer. Based at my studio in sydney and maintaining a constant presence in Papua New Guinea, I engage in commission work and remote location photography focusing on traditional culture, wilderness and wildlife.

I work with not for profit organisations as well as within the commercial sector undertaking long stay remote photography that affords me the time to spend extended periods in isolated places. I shoot underwater, on the ground and in the air. My goal is to capture photos that reflect the humility and the beauty of the people, the wildlife and the wilderness that surrounds these fragile ecosystem that we can still find balanced at the edge of our ever-expanding human population.
